EDTUPDATEA.J. Green suffered what is believed to be an ankle injury during practice. It’s unclear how severe it is. <hr class="p-entry-hr" id="B1Wfs5">The Bengals’ offense got some good news as Day 1 of training camp kicked off in Dayton. While they sat out 11-on-11 drills, wide receiver A.J. Green and tight end Tyler Eifert were both able to do some drills during Saturday’s session. They did individual work and offense vs. air drills, so it appears they’re both very close to being a full-go for 11-on-11 work. Green is recovering from a toe injury that led to him playing just nine games last season and ultimately required surgery to fix. The expectation was the recovery timeline would lead to him not being a full-go when camp began, but seeing able to do individual drills is great to see. The Pro Bowl receiver is also looking to sign another long-term extension with Cincinnati as he’s set to enter a contract year. It may take right up until Week 1 http://www.cincinnatibengalsteamonline.com/josh-malone-jersey , but a deal should get done. Eifert is recovering from an ankle injury he suffered early last season against the Falcons. It required surgery, and it was probably the most gruesome injury to be added to Eifert’s long list of injury history.Playing on another one-year deal, Eifert’s future with the Bengals remains as murky as ever. Cincinnati gave C.J. Uzomah a three-year deal this offseason, and they also spent a second-round pick on Drew Sample.Even so Kerry Wynn Jersey , Eifert is a vital part of this offense, and how healthy he can stay will play a large role in how good the 2019 Bengals can be. The Bengals’ offense did get some bad news, as wide receiver John Ross was sidelined today with an undisclosed issue. The ninth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft has battled frequent injuries throughout his brief career, so hopefully this is something very minor that won’t sideline him long. He needs to have a big season for the Bengals’ offense to reach its full potential.
