The San Jose Sharks have spent much of December on home ice, and the success has been constant. Jaire Alexander Jersey . Theyll try to complete a perfect home month Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks while matching their top single-season home winning streak in more than six years. You can catch all of the action live on TSN Radio 1040 with coverage beginning at 5pm pt. San Jose (19-12-5) is 7-0-0 at home this month and has won eight straight at the Shark Tank while scoring 3.88 goals per game. Its in a position to match a nine-game home winning streak that began the 2008-09 season and totaled 14 games with five wins from the end of the previous regular season. The success hasnt traveled in the occasional December road games as the Sharks have gone 1-2-1 away from San Jose, including Saturdays 3-1 loss in Los Angeles. The Sharks preceded it with a 3-2 overtime loss in Anaheim on Dec. 22, and the date with Vancouver (20-11-3) is their third in a four-game stretch against the top teams in the Pacific Division. They close 2014 with another trip to Anaheim on Wednesday. When the games are intense like this, you want to be at your best, and we werent tonight, center Joe Pavelski said after the loss to the Kings. We werent very disciplined in a lot of areas. We gave up a lot of odd-man rushes and took a lot of penalties, things we havent been doing lately when we were winning. Pavelski has scored in consecutive games, though hes been limited to two goals in his last 15 against Vancouver. The Canucks have been a strong road team this season, going 11-6-2, but theyve dropped four straight (0-2-2) away from Vancouver after Sundays 2-1 overtime loss in Anaheim. They had a season-low 14 shots and have totaled 30 and two goals in their last two road games. Not good enough, Canucks coach Willie Desjardins told the teams official website. If we want to win in this league, weve got to take the puck to the net. We cant rely on our goaltender. If were just going to sit back, rely and hope we get points, were not going to get points. As a group we know we have to get better. If the offense doesnt come around, the penalty kill and strong goaltending could keep them close. The Canucks are 30 for 32 on the kill in 10 games this month and went 4 for 4 last week against the Ducks. Ryan Miller made 29 saves and has a 1.64 goals-against average over a 2-0-1 stretch. He was similarly strong with 34 saves in a 3-2 win in San Jose on Nov. 6 to open the season series and give the Canucks a second straight road win over the Sharks. Miller has won his last six starts against the Sharks with a 1.64 GAA and a pair of shutouts in his last four visits. Antti Niemi, meanwhile, has been in goal for six of the Sharks games on the home streak, but he suffered the loss last month to Vancouver after allowing three goals on 19 shots. He has been mediocre versus the Canucks with an 8-6-2 record and 2.67 GAA since joining the Sharks. The San Jose penalty kill has also been strong lately with a 13-for-15 mark over seven games, but both goals came in Los Angeles the last time out. Vancouvers power play is 4 for 11 in its last three games. San Jose forward Patrick Marleau is in danger of going without a point in seven straight games for the first time since Nov. 28-Dec. 11, 2011. Dickeys knuckleball was back to doing the kinds of things that leave hitters walking back to the dugout shaking their heads. Dickey scattered four hits over seven innings for his first victory in over a month, Jose Reyes homered and drove in three runs and the Toronto Blue Jays ended a season-worst five-game skid Tuesday night with a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels. "I just wanted to keep them guessing, as far as the speed goes," Dickey said. "And the movement was very good. When it was leaving my hand, I could see visible that it was moving in multiple directions." Dickey (7-8) struck out five and walked one after losing his previous four starts. The 2012 NL Cy young Award winner got back in the win column for the first time since beating the Tigers on June 4. "It was rewarding because Ive been going over some things in the bullpen," he said. "When you have a good game, you certainly want to rejoice over that and not get too far ahead of yourself." Dickey allowed only two Angels to reach base through the first six innings. He gave up a one-out single to Erick Aybar in the second and a walk to Chris Iannetta two batters later before retiring Collin Cowgill on a flyball to end the threat. "I thought they would be a pretty patient team, not having seen the knuckleball this year at all. And they were. So I wanted to have a knuckleball that I could depend on for strikes," the 39-year-old right-hander said. "I tried to throw as many first-pitch strikes as I could — at least one of the first two pitches. That 74-mile-an-hour knuckleball was kind of my strike knuckleball tonight." Cowgill was the first of 12 consecutive outs for Dickey before Mike Trout doubled to left field with two outs in the sixth and was thrown out at third by Melky Cabrera. The Blue Jays climbed within 2 1-2 games of the AL East-leading Baltimore Orioles, who were rained out at Washington. They also snapped a seven-game road losing streak and ended the Angeels 11-game home winning streak, which fell one shy of the franchise record set in 1967. Custom Green Bay Packers Jerseys. Tyler Skaggs (4-5) gave up three runs and 11 hits over 6 2-3 innings in his second start off the disabled list, after missing 23 games because of a right hamstring strain. The left-hander, pitching at Angel Stadium for the first time since May 20, is 0-4 with a 4.18 ERA in his last five starts overall. "I thought I threw the ball really well," said Skaggs, who beat the Blue Jays 5-3 on May 10 at Toronto. "When I faced them the last time, they were swinging early — and they kept swinging today. They swung the bats a lot better than Ive seen them in the past, and they put together good at-bats." Nolan Reimold, acquired Sunday off waivers from Baltimore, made his second start in right field as Jose Bautista remained at first base for the injured Edwin Encarnacion. Reimould doubled his first two times up. Reyes opened the scoring in the fifth with an RBI single that snapped Torontos 0-for-25 drought with runners in scoring position. Reyes increased the margin to 3-0, driving Skaggs 100th pitch into the left field bullpen with two outs in the seventh after a single by Munenori Kawasaki. Darin Martroianni added an RBI single in the eighth. NOTES: The Angels are going all out to help get RHP Garrett Richards the final spot on the AL All-Star squad through the internet fan balloting. The grounds crew stenciled the hashtag on the infield dirt behind second base, behind the batters box, and on the back slope of the mound. ...
