OWINGS MILLS, Md. NGolo Kante Jersey . -- Theres more to Terrell Suggs game than simply overpowering an offensive lineman and throwing the quarterback to the ground. Suggs is the Baltimore Ravens career leader with 91 1/2 sacks and ranks fourth in the NFL this season with seven (in only five games). With another one Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, the man known to his teammates as "Sizzle" will set a franchise record with at least one sack in six straight games. Versatility, however, is why Suggs is among the most feared linebackers in the game. Hes tough against the run, tackles hard enough to jar the ball loose and is adept at dropping into pass coverage. "Hes one of the premier guys in the league at his position, and he proves it every year," Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Wednesday. "Hes a guy youve got to account for in the run game, youve got to account for in the passing game. Youve got to make sure you dont let him get off, but thats obviously easier said than done. Hes had a great start to the season." Two weeks ago, Suggs had a career-high 17 tackles against Buffalo. In last Sundays 26-23 win at Miami, Suggs registered five tackles and helped limit the Dolphins to 22 yards rushing. "Hes a beast in the run game," Ravens lineman Marcus Spears said. "I told him last week, Man, you play the run like youre 300 pounds. With four tackles against the Packers (2-2), Suggs -- now in his 11th season -- will become the second-leading tackler in Ravens history with 722. Only Ray Lewis has more. "I dont want to just be known as a pass rusher. I want to be known as a defender that can do more than just one thing," Suggs said. "I definitely take pride in that. I dont want to just have a lot of sacks. I like to fill up the stat sheet." Suggs, who turns 31 on Friday, is a five-time Pro Bowl star who has spent his entire career in Baltimore. He is known most for his sack-happy ways, but hes also picked off seven passes and owns the franchise record for forced fumbles (29). "A lot of people just see the sacks and dont see the rest of it," Ravens defensive lineman Arthur Jones said. "Hes a playmaker all over the field, and one of the best to ever do it." Ravens defensive co-ordinator Dean Pees said, "We could drop him more if we wanted to, but we dont want to. Still, he is a complete outside backer and I think absolutely, he can do it all. Hes got all the necessary skills and hes playing at a very high level." Suggs missed the first six games of the 2012 season while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon and finished with only two sacks. Hes more than tripled that total already this season and is on pace to break Peter Boulwares single-season team record of 15. Suggs acknowledged Wednesday that there was a point last year when he wondered if he would ever regain the burst that put the fear in opposing quarterbacks hearts. "Definitely. But youve got to stay the course and continue to work at it," he said. Now Suggs is arguably as good as hes ever been. "Yes, without a doubt," Pees said. "He looks like hes fully recovered and playing at a high level and really just doing a great job both on and off the field." Not only does Suggs rank second on the team in tackles, hes also taken on a leadership role in the locker room and on the field. "Hes an extraordinary pro," said Spears, who played eight years in Dallas before joining Baltimore (3-2) this season. "Being close to him, you realize how smart he is. Thats something you wouldnt know playing against him. Its a smart football player, and its not a coincidence that hes been playing well for a long time, because his brain matches up with his body. Hes a lethal guy out there." Mostly to quarterbacks, but there arent too many running backs who relish a collision with the 6-foot-3, 260-pound Suggs. "Hes a complete player. He always has been," coach John Harbaugh said. "Thats the great thing about Terrell Suggs. Hes not just a one-dimensional guy, in terms of pass rush. Hes a great pass rusher but hes all the other things, too. Thats what makes him a premier player." Benjamin Mendy France Jersey . Price also posted the longest shutout sequence since 1960 at 164:19 minutes. He stopped a combined 55 shots in Canadas final two games and 70 of 71 shots in Canadas three elimination games, allowing only a breakaway goal to Lauris Darzins of Latvia. For his efforts, Price was named best goalkeeper by the tournament directorate. Prices outstanding play is marred only by the extremely strong defensive play of Canadas top six defencemen; Shea Weber, Duncan Keith, Drew Doughty, Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Alex Pietrangelo and Jay Bouwmeester. No emotions .RIDGEDALE, Mo. -- Jay Haas and Peter Jacobsen took the second-round lead Saturday in the Champions Tours Legends of Golf, teaming for a 6-under 48 in windy conditions on the par-3 Top of the Rock course. Haas and Jacobsen played nine holes of alternate shot and nine of better ball at Top of the Rock, the first par-3 course used in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event, after opening with a better-ball 62 on Friday on the regulation Buffalo Ridge layout. They had a 15-under 110 total. "Weve known each other since college days," Haas said. "And if you know Peter, youre a friend of Peters. Weve played on Ryder Cup teams before and just know each other. Our wives know each other." They were 1 under in the alternate-shot nine. "We talked about it walking down the first hole, the morning format, the alternate shot," Jacobsen said. "I turned to Jay and said, Im nervous. I havent been this nervous in a long time. It takes us back to Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup days when the alternate shot is the most difficult. You feel like youre on an island. Youre playing for yourself and also youre playing for your partner, so you dont want to leave your partner in a bad position." Jeff Sluman and Fred Funk were second after a 50 on the par-3 course, the site of the final round Sunday. "I think both of us not only embrace the golf course and the concept of a par 3, but we embrace the format change from last year," said Sluman, the winner last year with Brad Faxon in Savannah, Georgia. "ts fun, its exciting, its vibrant and were jazzed to be here." In Legends Division for players 65 and older, the teams of Jim Colbert-Jim Thorpe and Bruce Fleeisher-Larry Nelson shared the lead at 7-under 118. Blaise Matuidi Jersey. Colbert and Thorpe had a 2-under 52 on the par-3 course, and Fleisher and Nelson shot 56. "It was very difficult starting out where you had alternate shots," Fleisher said. "I thought it would have been a lot easier the other way around if we got a little bit of feel of the golf course. Larrys a great partner, Im kind of trying to tag along this week." Craig Stadler and Kirk Triplett were third in the Champions Division, shooting a 64 at Buffalo Ridge. The teams of Tom Watson-Andy North and Tom Pernice Jr.-Bob Tway were tied for fourth at 11 under after rounds on the regulation course. Watson and North had a 65, and Pernice and Tway shot 64. "Who knows what the weathers going to be tomorrow," North said. "Were fortunate to get done today, but man, the wind blew. Some of those holes played so hard. When youre hitting woods into these par 3s, theyre pretty difficult. Its going to be fun to get over there." Pernice won the Principal Charity Classic last week in Iowa for his third senior title. In the Legends Division, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player had a 66 at Buffalo Ridge to move into a tie for third with Butch Baird and Al Geiberger at 4 under. Baird and Geiberger had a 54 on the par-3 course. "Id say Gary played very well," Nicklaus said. "I was all right the front nine. It was all Gary the back nine, thank goodness, because I wasnt very good. Ill have to say that Gary made some putts when he needed to make some putts and I couldnt make the putts when I needed to make the putts. But we ham and egged it reasonably well throughout the round." ' ' '
