BUFFALO, N. Kevin Faulk Youth Jersey .Y. - Bengals offensive co-ordinator Hue Jackson interviewed for the Buffalo Bills head-coaching job on Wednesday. And former New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is on deck.A person familiar with the teams search process revealed those two candidates — among a number of others — to The Associated Press on Wednesday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills have not announced any details of their search to replace Doug Marrone, who stepped down abruptly last week. There are at least 10 candidates on the list. Bills defensive co-ordinator Jim Schwartz has already been interviewed, as was Philadelphia Eagles offensive co-ordinator Pat Shurmer, the person said.A second person familiar with the process, and also speaking on the condition of anonymity, told the AP that the Bills were granted permission from the Browns to interview Cleveland offensive co-ordinator Kyle Shanahan. He is the son of two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Shanahan, who is also a candidate after being interviewed by the Bills in San Francisco last weekend. The Bills are taking an exhaustive, wide-reaching approach to the search under new owners Terry and Kim Pegula, who bought the franchise in October. Both Pegulas are sitting in on the interviews, along with general manager Doug Whaley and team president Russ Brandon. The team has not established a timetable on hiring a coach, or placed a limit on the number of candidates being considered, the person said.Thats a switch from the Bills previous coaching search, during which five candidates were interviewed six days before Marrone was hired in early January 2013. The team is in the midst of its sixth coaching search since Wade Phillips was fired following the 2000 season.Separately, a third person familiar with the decision told the AP that former general manager Buddy Nix and veteran scouts David G. Smith and David W. Smith will not return. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills have not announced the moves.Nix held the role of special assistant since stepping down as GM in May 2013. The Smiths had a combined 58 years of NFL experience, and each held the title of scout emeritus. The off-season changes come following a season in which the Bills showed signs of progress. Buffalo (9-7) had its best record in 10 years, yet still extended the NFLs longest active playoff drought to 15 seasons.Marrones departure caught the Bills off guard. The second-year coach exercised the opt-out clause in his contract, which kicked into effect once the team was sold following the death of Hall of Fame owner Ralph Wilson in March. The Pegulas now have a chance to start fresh. And the teams extensive list of candidates provides them options to determine the Bills future front-office structure. The Bills already met with three assistants currently working for teams still in the playoffs: Seattle co-ordinators Darrell Bevell (offence) and Dan Quinn (defence), and Denver offensive co-ordinator Adam Gase.Coaches on playoff teams cannot be hired until their seasons end.The Bills also interviewed San Diego Chargers offensive co-ordinator Frank Reich.___AP Sports Writers Tom Withers in Cleveland, and Rob Maaddi in Philadelphia contributed to this report.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFLNew England Patriots Jerseys . The busy Bronx Bombers have been undergoing a pricey roster overhaul after missing the playoffs for only the second time in 19 years. Ellsbury, fresh off winning the World Series with Boston, agreed to a $153 million deal with New York on Tuesday. The contract includes a $21 million team option for the 2021 season, with a $5 million buyout. If the option is exercised, the deal would be worth $169 million over eight years. The Yankees will hold an introductory news conference for Ellsbury at Yankee Stadium on Friday. Ellsbury, who turned 30 in September, led the majors with 52 stolen bases despite being hobbled late in the season by a broken right foot. The lefty-hitting leadoff man batted .298 with nine homers and 53 RBIs, and the short right-field porch at Yankee Stadium should boost his power numbers. He joins a crowded outfield that will include Carlos Beltran, who agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract, according to two people familiar with the deal, on Friday. Beltrans agreement came hours after All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano decided to leave for Seattle. Custom New England Patriots Jerseys. . Outfielders Alfonso Soriano, Brett Gardner, Ichiro Suzuki and Vernon Wells are all expected to return. Curtis Granderson, though, left for a deal with the crosstown Mets. Kuroda also agreed Friday to a one-year deal, worth $16 million, to come back and fill one of three holes in the rotation behind CC Sabathia and Ivan Nova. Kuroda, who turns 39 in February, got off to a strong start last season before fading down the stretch. He finished 11-13 with a 3.31 ERA in 32 starts covering 201 1-3 innings. The deal includes bonuses of $250,000 for pitching 190 and 210 innings. New York introduced new catcher Brian McCann at a news conference Thursday. He signed an $85 million, five-year contract. When Beltrans deal is finalized, the Yankees will have committed about $172 million to 13 players for their 2014 luxury-tax payroll. That would leave them with approximately $5 million to spend if they intend to stay under the $189 million threshold, which includes all players on the 40-man roster and $11 million to $12 million for benefits. It appears unlikely New York would remain under the threshold unless Alex Rodriguez is suspended for most of the season, which would relieve the Yankees of much of his $25 million salary. ' ' '
