Premier League results Norwich 0-1 Man Utd Aston Villa 0-0 Newcastle Sunderland 3-2 Chelsea Leicester 3-1 Everton West Ham 1-4 Swansea Tottenham 1-2 Southampton Bournemouth 1-1 West Brom Man City 2-2 Arsenal Crystal Palace 2-1 Stoke Liverpool 2-0 Watford Leicester - A+Sometimes these types of celebrations can go wrong on the pitch, but credit to Leicester, they scored at important times and were very difficult to break down. It was the perfect start to the title festivities at the King Power. Wes Morgan and Claudio Ranieri lifted the trophy amid ecstatic scenes at the King Power stadium Swansea - A+Swansea didnt really turn up when they went to Leicester in their last away game and they got quite a bit of stick as a result. I think that may have helped the manager motivate the players because they were very impressive at Upton Park.Liverpool - AJurgen Klopp has had a fantastic influence, and Liverpool seem to be getting better as the season goes on. Everybody wants to play now, especially with a Europa League final on the horizon, and this was another good display. Southampton - A Graeme Souness and Thierry Henry were full of praise for Southampton and their unsung hero Steven Davis Ronald Koemans side have a lot to go for with Europa League qualification a real possibility, and it was a classic away performance. Both goals were very well worked and well taken.Arsenal - B+ Thierry Henry, Niall Quinn and Graeme Souness assess the performances of Olivier Giroud and Wilfried Bony Arsenal are still a fantastic counter-attacking team and a point at the Etihad is a good result for Arsene Wengers side. Alexis Sanchezs goal in particular was a real highlight.Crystal Palace - B+It was a great fightback by Palace and they scored brilliant goals too. It was an exciting performance, with Yannick Bolasie causing problems and Dwight Gayle a threat up front. Sunderland - B+ Jermain Defoe scored the winner for Sunderland against Chelsea Sunderland are now a much more organised side, which is not a surprise with Sam Allardyce in charge, but they are also getting goals. Jermain Defoe is a constant threat, and I fancied this result because Chelsea were coming off a tough match against Spurs.Man Utd - B Juan Mata celebrates what proved the matchwinner for Manchester United at Norwich Man Utd have the quality to make the most of a single chance, and even though they were not brilliant on the day, they were good enough to get three points at Norwich. Bournemouth - BEddie Howe has done a brilliant job and theyre safe so they may be looking ahead to next season now. It was never likely to be an open game against a well-drilled West Brom, and Bournemouth did well to battle back. West Brom - B Salomon Rondon opened the scoring for West Brom but his side were pegged back by Bournemouth West Brom are never an easy team to play against and Tony Pulis would have wanted to do well on his return to Bournemouth. They got off to an ideal start, but he may be disappointed his side failed to finish the job.Aston Villa - BVilla owed it to their wonderful supporters to put in a performance after the season theyve had, and a clean sheet is an improvement. Ill give them a B because they limited the chances for Newcastle, who were desperate to win.Tottenham - B- Tottenham went ahead against Southampton but lost the match 2-1 Spurs may have been a little down after what happened at Chelsea last Monday, especially considering the loss of discipline, so their performance against Southampton didnt surprise me. Its been a fantastic campaign, though, and theyll look to bounce back at Newcastle.Man City - B-City were disappointing because I was expecting a bit more considering they knew Man Utd had put them under pressure. They needed three points with the race for the top four getting tight, but didnt deserve them on the day.Chelsea - B-Chelsea did some good things against Sunderland, but I feared for them heading into this game. They put a lot into Monday night against Tottenham and it may have caught up with them.Watford - C+ Roberto Firmino scored in the second half against Watford Anfield is usually a difficult place to pick up points, and Liverpool were on a high after making the Europa League final. Watfords season has tailed off after such a good start, and this was another example of their struggles in front of goal.Norwich - CIt just shows you have to defend well at all times. You cant switch off for a minute because youll get punished by the top sides. Sebastien Bassong made a poor mistake and good players only need one chance.Newcastle - C Newcastle could only manage a draw at already relegated Aston Villa Newcastle have improved under Rafael Benitez, but they had to win this game. It wasnt a good enough performance considering their relegation situation and it may end up costing them.West Ham - C- West Ham were heavily beaten at home to Swansea This result surprised me because West Ham still have a good opportunity to finish up the table in the Premier League. They gave poor goals away to Swansea and you cant afford to do that in the Premier League.Stoke - C-Stoke have had a disappointing end to the season and defeat to Palace was another poor result, especially after going in front.Everton - C- Everton boss Roberto Martinez watched his side lose at Leicester Roberto Martinez has given his young side a chance, but they need to start putting in performances to help the manager. Jefferson matched a season high with 35 points, including a key basket in the final seconds, and the Charlotte Bobcats hung on to beat the Denver Nuggets 101-98 on Wednesday night. It was the 10th consecutive game in which Jefferson has scored at least 20 points, an offensive flurry reflecting his improved health since missing nine of the Bobcats first 12 games this season because of a sprained right ankle. "It is all about staying healthy," Jefferson said. "I am 85 or 90 per cent right now. If I were 100 per cent, I could be very effective. I am working hard to get to 100 per cent." Jefferson looked awfully close to that in a game in which he also had 11 rebounds for his 14th double-double in his last 22 games. "He is scoring and then we are also scoring off him. His effect on his teammates is good," Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said. Gerald Henderson and Ramon Sessions each added 16 points for the Bobcats who beat the Nuggets in Denver for only the second time in eight games here. Randy Foye scored a season-high 33 points to lead Denver, which was without leading scorer Ty Lawson (left shoulder). His replacement, Nate Robinson, was knocked out of the game in the first quarter with a left knee sprain, forcing Foye into the unfamiliar role of running the point. "Nate and Ty, they push the ball and do so many different things," Foye said. "I just tried to mimic some of the things that Ty does, just being aggressive, taking it to the basket and trying to make plays for everybody, picking my spots where I needed to score. "But we fouled a lot. We gave them the game. We got stops. They got offensive rebounds and we fouled them. We made some bonehead plays fouling them and just putting them on the free throw line. Up by one at the break, the Bobcats pulled into a 75-all tie heading into the fourth period on a pair of free throws by Sessions, helping to offset a 3-pointer by Fournier moments earlier. Jeffersons 6-foot jumper evened the score again, at 82-all, but Fournier connected on a jumper and, after a turnover by the Bobcats, Foye drained a 3-pointer to give the Nuggets a five-point edge with 6:38 remaining. "It was a weird play at the end," Jefferson said. "The rebound (off Fourniers miss) got deflected in some kind of way. Mozgov got the ball and had a clean shot at a layup, but MKG (Kidd-Gilchrist) made a heck of a job to block it." Added Henderson: "Those are plays that win games." Leading by as many as 14 points early on, the Bobcats settled for a 53-52 halftime lead as the Nuggets outscored Charlotte 31-21 in the second quarter. Jefferson converted a three-point play to give Charlotte a 43-31 advantage with 5:47 remaining in the second, but Denver closed the period on a 21-10 run capped by Arthurs 20-jumper an instant before the first-half buzzer.
